hCG Diet Do’s and Don’ts

hCG diet is a growing diet craze and it has become rampant now. A lot of people are trying it and a lot of them have reported positive results.

But, most people are misinformed about the hCG diet. For some, they only know phase 2 of the diet where you have to undergo a heavily calorie-restricted diet while also introducing the hCG hormone into your body. That is just a phase of the hCG diet and the original diet contains a lot of phases.

In this article, I will tell you things that you should do and the things that you shouldn’t do while you’re on the hCG diet. So, without further ado, let’s get started:

  1. Do Exercise. Exercise should be incorporated into every diet plan, the hCG diet included. Exercise not only helps you lose weight, but it can also clear up your mind. So be sure to incorporate, at least, light exercises to your daily routine.

  2. Do Not Take a lot of Supplements. Vitamin supplements, albeit healthy for you, contain calories as well. Some of the supplements might even counteract with the effects of the hCG hormone. If you truly want to consume supplements while you’re on the hCG diet, make sure to consult with the hCG dietitian first. And also, keep in mind to take only supplements that you truly need.

  3. Do Eat some Snacks. I understand that phase 2 of the hCG diet requires you to eat only a few calories per day. But, most people report having frequent hunger pangs when they only eat 3 times a day. In order to eliminate hunger pangs, just divide your 3 meals into 6 small meals (or 3 meals and 3 snacks) to help keep your hunger pangs at bay.

  4. Do Not Weigh Yourself Every Day. Weighing yourself every day can be tempting, especially since you need to be constantly validated about your weight loss achievements. But, as tempting as it is, do not give in to the urge. You see, when you do not lose weight every day, that is normal. If you do not lose weight, chances are, you will be disheartened and might drop out of the hCG diet program entirely. So resist the urge of weighing yourself daily and do it only once a week.

  5. Do Eat the Right Foods. In some diets, cheat days are often part of it. But not with the hCG diet. As much as possible, stick with the hCG diet plan that was tailor-made for you to see the results.

  6. Do Not Lose Hope. This is probably the most important tip of all. Since the hCG diet can be unforgiving (especially phase 2 of the diet), a lot of people have dropped from the hCG diet program. Do not lose hope and continue on losing weight with the hCG diet. It can be hard, but trust me, the rewards will be great.
